How much does a coach cost for a multi-day tour of France?
Short answer: from €700 incl. VAT per day for a 30 to 53-seat coach, from €900 for a 54 to 63-seat executive coach and also from €900 for a 64 to 93-seat high-capacity coach. Driver, fuel, tolls and insurance included. The day rate is a charter: the vehicle stays with your group.
| Length of tour | Coach 30 – 53 seats | Executive 54 – 63 seats | High capacity 64 – 93 seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 day | from €700 | from €900 | from €900 |
| 3 days | from €2,100 | from €2,700 | from €2,700 |
| 5 days | from €3,500 | from €4,500 | from €4,500 |
| 7 days | from €4,900 | from €6,300 | from €6,300 |
| 10 days | from €7,000 | from €9,000 | from €9,000 |
Indicative amounts including VAT, calculated from the day rate. The driver’s accommodation and meals are added on a multi-day tour and appear separately on the quote. For long legs with no on-site standby, per-kilometre billing can work out cheaper — we price both.
We are a broker backed by around 1,200 partner coach operators across France. We put their availability for your date into competition: the negotiated rates stay 15 to 20% below the direct price.

Which vehicle for which group size?
| Vehicle | Seats | Day rate (incl. VAT) | Price per kilometre |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minivan / Minibus | 8 – 15 | €350 | €1.50 – €2.50 |
| Midibus | 16 – 29 | €500 | €2.00 – €3.00 |
| Standard coach | 30 – 53 | €700 | €2.50 – €4.00 |
| Executive coach | 54 – 63 | €900 | €3.00 – €5.00 |
| High-capacity coach | 64 – 93 | from €900 | €3.00 – €5.00 |
| VIP / Luxury coach | 20 – 40 | €1,000 | €4.00 – €7.00 |
| Wheelchair-accessible bus — 4 to 5 wheelchairs per vehicle | 20 – 50 | €800 | €3.00 – €5.00 |
93 seats is our largest single vehicle. Beyond that we run a convoy of several coaches, up to 1,000 passengers. Guides and chaperones take seats and count towards the total: a group of 60 travellers with 4 chaperones needs 64 seats, not 60.
60 people: one coach or two? The comparison in figures
This is the decision that moves the most money on a tour, because it repeats on every travelling day.
| Group | With one vehicle | With two vehicles | Difference per day | Difference over 5 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60 travellers | 1 high-capacity 64 – 93, from €900 | 2 coaches 30 – 53, €1,400 | €500 | €2,500 |
| 90 travellers | 1 high-capacity 64 – 93, from €900 | 2 executive 54 – 63, €1,800 | €900 | €4,500 |
| 50 travellers | 1 coach 30 – 53, from €700 | 2 midibuses 16 – 29, €1,000 | €300 | €1,500 |
| 120 travellers | not possible — 93 seats is the maximum | 2 high-capacity coaches, from €1,800 | — | — |
One vehicle also means one meeting point, one driver and one timetable. On a tour that changes hotel every day, that is the difference between a schedule that holds and one that has to be re-cut every morning.

Can we start from our own city, or only from Paris?
Yes. We pick the group up where it is. Three cases come up most often, and they do not cost the same.
| Starting point | How it works | Billing | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| From a French airport | You fly into Paris, Lyon, Nice, Marseille, Bordeaux, Toulouse or Geneva, the vehicle is waiting on arrival | Day rate from the first day of the tour | The cheapest option for a tour in the South or along the Loire |
| From a French railway station | You arrive by train, the vehicle takes over at the station | Day rate from the first day of the tour | Often the fastest option from London, Brussels or Amsterdam |
| From your own city | The vehicle runs empty to you and stays with the group for the whole tour | Day rate plus the positioning run, per kilometre | Worth it from about a week, because the positioning run spreads over every travelling day |
Just tell us the starting point, the dates and the number of people — we price the options side by side before you decide.
Does the driver speak English?
Every driver we assign to an international group speaks English. That is not a paid extra, it is the rule we apply when assigning drivers to foreign groups.
A German, Italian, Spanish or Dutch-speaking driver is requested by name across our network of around 1,200 partner operators. Say so when you ask for a quote: we confirm in writing, in the quote, whether we can hold one for your date, instead of leaving you to find out on the day.
On a tour this matters more than on a transfer: your driver is the person who tells the group every evening where the coach will be parked tomorrow and what time it has to leave to make the 10 am visit at the château.

How many kilometres may a daily leg cover? What EU law requires
Groups that build their own tour underestimate this point more than any other. Under EU Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 , a professional driver’s working time is capped. These are not our rules, and no operator can depart from them — the tachograph records everything.
| Rule | Limit | Exception |
|---|---|---|
| Daily driving time | 9 hours | 10 hours twice a week |
| Break | 45 minutes after 4 hrs 30 of driving | — |
| Daily rest | 11 hours | 9 hours three times a week |
For your schedule this means: a leg that needs more than 9 hours of driving requires a second driver — or it gets split. And the 11 hours of rest also set how early the coach can be outside the hotel the next morning. Send us your draft itinerary with the quote request: we will tell you which legs cannot be driven as planned, before you book the hotels.
How do we pay from abroad?
- Bank transfer (SEPA or international). Our invoice carries the IBAN and BIC in full. The usual route for companies, schools and universities.
- Purchase order. Accepted from companies, universities and public bodies. We invoice after the trip against your order number.
- Credit card.
- PayPal.
- Payment in instalments, subject to conditions.
Prices on this page are inclusive of French VAT. For a company with a valid EU VAT number, the invoice is issued accordingly.

Frequently asked questions about coach tours in France
How much does a coach cost for 5 days in France?
From €3,500 incl. VAT for a 30 to 53-seat coach and from €4,500 for 54 to 93 seats, calculated on the day rate of €700 and €900 respectively. Driver, fuel, tolls and insurance included; the driver’s accommodation and meals are added and appear separately on the quote.
How many people fit in your largest coach?
93 seats. That is our largest single vehicle. Above that we put together a convoy of several coaches, up to 1,000 passengers.
Is one large coach better value than two small ones?
For 60 travellers, a high-capacity coach of 64 to 93 seats costs from €900 a day, two 53-seat coaches €1,400. That is €500 difference per day and €2,500 over a five-day tour — for one meeting point instead of two.
Does the vehicle stay with us for the whole tour?
Yes. The day rate is a charter: vehicle and driver stay with the group, from departure to return, including local runs.
How long may a daily leg be?
Under EU Regulation 561/2006 a driver may drive 9 hours a day (10 hours twice a week), must take a 45-minute break after 4 hrs 30 and have 11 hours of daily rest. Longer legs need a second driver or are split.
